The Design Process

The most important aspect of Grandview Collective is the design and branding process. I work with a handful of new clients per month to ensure that each project gets the attention it deserves.  Although the process and timeline varies depending on the specific project, this will give you a general idea of what to expect.


Step 1 - Inquire

Thank you for your interest in working with Grandview Collective! In our initial conversation, we will review your project, pricing and timeline expectations so we can make sure we are on the same page. Once we have agreed to work together, a proposal and invoice will be put together and signed by both parties and a deposit will be made.


We begin our project together with a questionnaire and a Pinterest board to get a feel of the brand vibe you are looking for. This is the fun part - where I get to hear about your business goals. The questionnaire will give me a sense for your style and understand your desired brand direction. The visual inspiration board that you put together via Pinterest should be filled with images that showcase your ideal brand aesthetic, typography and colors you are interested in. I then begin researching your competition and gather more insight into the industry and your target customer. A visual project outline will be presented once the above steps are complete.


Step 3 - Design

After you have approved the brand project outline, I will then begin concept development. All concepts will be organized in a guideline document where each design will be showcased for your review. You will have the opportunity for three rounds of revisions until you are completely thrilled with your new design. once the final design is approved, the full brand will be completed and a brand guideline document will be finalized.


Step 4 - Launch!

After we are happy with the final direction of your brand and all the items are checked off the list, we cheers! You will be billed for the final balance of the project and once payment is received, you will receive your final design files and any template files. Our new friendship doesn’t end there, I am available to answer any questions you may have about the files or your new website and how to use them!

+ Is Squarespace right for me?

Squarespace is a great platform for those looking to have a fresh modern design and wish to be able to manage it after the design is complete.

+ How much does Squarespace cost?

Most of my clients use the $12 or $18/month plan. Included in this is the cost of website hosting. You'll also need to purchase a domain name (roughly $10-$20/year).

+ Can I use a domain I already own?

Yes, you can transfer your domain to your Squarespace website!

+ If I book today, how much do I pay?

You will just pay a 50% deposit of your package price. Then on the last day of your design period, just before launch, you'll pay the 50% remainder.

+ Can we launch my site by a certain date?

Yes, if you are looking to launch your website by a specific date, we can work together to make that possible.

+ Do you design e-commerce websites?
